Waiver & Event Policies

Waiver and Release of Liability: Please Read Carefully

In consideration of Conservation Community Consulting, LLC, furnishing services and/or equipment to enable me to participate in Delmarva Paddling Weekend activities beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019; and beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2019, I agree as follows:

I fully understand and acknowledge that outdoor activities have: (a) inherent risks, dangers and hazards and such exists in my use of equipment and participation in Delmarva Paddling Weekend activities; (b) My participation in such activities and/or use of such equipment may result in injury or illness including, but not limited to, bodily injury, disease, strains, fractures, partial or total paralysis, death or other ailments that could cause serious disability; (c) These risks and dangers may be caused by the negligence of owners, employees, officers or agents of Conservation Community Consulting LLC, the negligence of the participants, the negligence of others, accidents, breaches of contract, the forces of nature and other causes. Risks and dangers may arise from foreseeable or unforeseeable causes including, but not limited to, guide decision making, including a guide who may misjudge terrain, weather, trail or river route location, and water level, risks of falling out or drowning while in a boat, canoe or kayak and such other risks, hazards and dangers that are integral to recreational activities and/or use of equipment, I hereby assume all risks and dangers and all responsibility for any losses and/or damages, whether caused in part by the negligence of other conduct of the owners, agents, officers or employees of Delmarva Paddling Weekend, or by any other person.

I, on behalf of myself, my personal representatives and my heirs, hereby volunteer to release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, defend and indemnify Conservation Community Consulting LLC and its owners, agents, officers and employees from any and all claims, actions or losses from bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death, loss of service or otherwise which may arise out of my use of Delmarva Paddling Weekend equipment or my participation in Delmarva Paddling Weekend activities. I specifically understand that I am releasing, discharging and waiving any claims or actions that I may have presently or in the future for the negligent acts or conduct by the owners, agents, officers or employees of Conservation Community Consulting, LLC. I also understand that Delmarva Paddling Weekend participants are not the responsibility of Conservation Community Consulting, LLC.

I have read the above Waiver and Release, and by purchasing paddling trips through the Delmarva Paddling Weekend, I agree. It is my intention to exempt or relieve Conservation Community Consulting LLC from liability for personal injury, property damage or wrongful death caused by negligence or other cause.

Event Policies

No cancellations are accepted after September 10, 2019.

Paddling trips will go rain or shine. If an outfitter cancels a trip due to weather, a full refund for that trip will be provided.

Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for paddling. Carry sunscreen, sunglasses and/or a hat to protect yourself from the sun. Dress in layers for cool mornings and warm afternoons.

When paddling, protect your valuables in a dry bag.

Try to arrive a little early before the scheduled trip departs so that you don’t get left behind.

Trips are labeled as beginner, moderate and advanced. Please gauge your own paddling ability prior to registration.

Most trips are not appropriate for young children. Please use your discretion when registering.

There are no restroom breaks on most trips, so please use the restroom before you launch!
