Milton, DE: Sept. 28, 2019
Broadkill River – Milton to Oyster Rocks: Saturday, September 28, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Sorry, friends, but this trip is sold out! There is still room on our Sunday paddle in Laurel, DE.
We’ll meet at Memorial Park in Milton and paddle to Oyster Rocks for a one-way, ~10-mile paddle with the outgoing tide on the Broadkill River, with a shuttle for kayaks and paddlers back to Milton. We’ll kayak through forested headwaters teeming with herons, osprey and basking turtles that transitions into an expansive salt marsh.
Along the way, we’ll pass the Edward H. McCabe Preserve, which is managed by The Nature Conservancy. Quest Kayak will provide the portage back to Milton from Oyster Rocks. The adventure will begin and end at Memorial Park. PLEASE NOTE: this trip is subject to cancellation in the event of foul weather. If the trip is cancelled, full refunds will be issued.
After the paddle, join your fellow paddlers for world-famous craft beer and food at the Dogfish Head Brewery Tasting Room.
