Snow Hill Saturday Sojourn: October 22

For those who want an all-day adventure, we’re going to run a guided Porter’s Crossing to Red House Road Sojourn that will cover close to 10 miles of the Pocomoke River and Nassawango Creek. If 10 miles is more than you want to paddle, you can join us in the morning for Porter’s Crossing to Snow Hill, or join us in the afternoon for Snow Hill to Red House Road (each trip is approximately 5 miles). You can register for the all-day package or one of the two half-day trips below. We have prices for rental kayaks and canoes from the Pocomoke River Canoe Company, and prices for folks who want to bring their own boats.

You can start your day in Snow Hill at The Daily Brew Coffeehouse, paddle from Porter’s Crossing to Snow Hill and break for lunch at the Harvest Moon Tavern or Down Under Subs & Pizza, and paddle from Snow Hill to Nassawango Creek in the afternoon. After your paddling sojourn has ended, grab dinner and drinks in town at Harvest Moon or the Blue Dog Cafe, or check out these events at Furnace Town and Pocomoke River State Park:

Flames at the Furnace – October 22, 5 – 8 pm

Pocomoke River State Park “Fright Night at the Forest” – October 22, 5 pm (call 410-632-2566 for information)
